Spearman High School is accepting applications for a campus Attdendance Clerk for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. The district pays $466 towards employee health insurance.

 

Primary Purpose:

Under close supervision provide reception and clerical assistance for the efficient operation of the campus office; and provide clerical services for school's administrative staff. Maintain accurate records for the campus. Under close supervision, perform data entry including attendance and grades.

 

Qualifications:

     Education/Certification

           High school diploma or GED

     

     Special Knowledge/Skills

           Proficient keyboarding

           Effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

           Ability to understand and follow detailed written and verbal instructions

           Ability to operate multi-line phone system and file maintenance

                     

     Experience

          1 year(s) secretarial experience

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Receive and direct iincoming calls, take messages, and route to appropriate staff

2. Greet and direct campus visitors. Maintain visitor log and issue visitor passes

3. Assist parents in checking students in and out of school

4. Assist with the receipt and distribution of student materials, and homework requests

5. Receive, sort, distribute mail, messages, documents, and deliveries

6. Prepare campus communications, correspondence, forms, manuals, and reports

7. Maintain daily teacher attendance log and records for substitute teachers. Compile and submit to central office according to established procedures and deadlines

8. Maintain school calendar of events

9. Maintain student records according to established procedures

10. Provide clerical assistance as needed including scheduling appointments

11. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required

12. Maintain confidentiality

13. Collect and enter attendance 

14. Maintain student records and process requests for student information and transcripts. Process new student records.

15. Contact parents/guardians to verify student absences as needed and report attendance problems to administrator
