Spearman ISD is in search of a Groundskeeper Maintenance Worker.  The position is a 12 month position and the District pays $466 per month towards applicant's health insurance. Applicant must undergo a FBI Fingerprint and Criminal History Check before they can begin employment.

 

Primary Purpose:

 

Maintain safe and attractive grounds and landscaping for the district. Maintain athletic fields.

 

Qualifications:

Clear and valid Texas's driver's license

Must be at least 18 yrs. old

 

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions

 

Ability to communicate effectively with others

Ability to operate power-driven equipment

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Mow and detail all district grounds
• Follow scheduled maintenance plan to care for lawns, trees, shrubs, and flowers
• Assist with the inspection, repair, and installation of sprinkler systems
• Operate tools and equipment according to safety procedures
• Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures
• Transport workers and equipment to work sites throughout the district
