Spearman High School is seeking a Librarian for the 2025-2026 school year.  This is a non-certified position. The position includes the District's contribution of $400 per month towards employee health insurance. Applicant must undergo FBI Fingerprinting and a criminal history check before employment.

 

Primary Purpose:

Manages the campus library and media center; ensures the library and media center are involved in the instructional programs of the campus; perform routine clerical duties under direct supervision. 

 

Qualifications/Skills: 

• high school diploma or GED; or Associate's degree
• Ability to work well with students and staff
• Effective, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Clerical experience

Responsibilities/Duites:

1. Provide individual instruction and assistance to individual students and small groups in using library media center resources including computers and other equipment
2. Check books in and out
3. Ready materials for classrooms as requested by teachers
4. Maintain library catalog
5. Receive and process new books, materials, and equipment; shelve books and materials
6. Supervise and monitor students; maintain appropriate student behavior and an orderly atmosphere
7. Maintain library operations
