Spearman Junior High School is accepting applications for the following non-certified paraprofessional postion: Special Education Paraprofessional.  This position is for the 2022-2023 school year.  The district pays $385 per month towards the applicant's health insurance.

Primary Purpose:

Under supervision of the classroom teacher, will assist teacher in instructional activities to provide specially designed instruction to student(s) with disabilities.

Responsibilities/Duites:

(1) Help teacher prepare instructional materials

(2) Conduct instructional exercises assigned  by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups

(3) Help supervise students throughout the day

(4) Assist in maintaining student records

Education/Requirements:

Applicant must have (1) high school diploma or GED; (2) must be "highly" qualified.  To be considered "highly qualified" applicants must meet one of the following: (a) completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (verified by a college transcript); (b) obtained an associates degree, (c) have met a standard of quality as demostrated through a rigorous five days of academic training and assessment
