Spearman ISD is accepting applications for a Jr. High Principal for the 2019-2020 school year. 

Overview:

Direct and manage instructional programs and supervise operations and personnel at campus.  Provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service.  Oversee compliance with district policies, success of instructional programs and operation of all campus activities.

Campus Description: 6th - 8th grade campus with 200 students; 26 employees

Salary: Salary determination will be based on verified relevant work experience

Benefits: District pays $344 towards employee health insurance; 5 local personal days; 5 State personal days

Terms of Employment:   Prob/Term Contract (217 days); 11 month contract

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

• Master's degree in Educational Administration
• Texas Principal or other appropriate Texas certificate
• T-TESS Certified Appraiser to replace Professional Development and Appraisal System (PDAS) appraiser

Experience:

• Three years successful experience as a classroom teacher
• Five years successful experience as a campus principal; assistant principal or in an instructional leadership role

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Knowledge and vision of student and staff use of 21st Century Technology skills
• Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness
• Ability to manage budget and personnel
• Ability to coordinate campus functions
• Ability to implement policy and procedures
• Ability to interpret date
• Strong organizational, communication, public relations & interpersonal skills
